Campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) in the run-up to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Akhnoor, blamed the Congress, National Conference and the Peoples Democratic Party for the “problems” in the state. He also claimed that the Congress party’s speeches are being applauded in Pakistan.

‘Congress Blinded by Modi Hatred’
The prime minister alleged that Modi hatred has blinded Congress and their attitude was “beyond comprehension.”

PM Modi ‘Warns’ Terrorists
Modi warned the terrorists, both outside and within country, that they will get a befitting reply if they plot against the nation. Referring to the strike on a JeM camp in Balakot, the prime minister said the nation has shown its resolve to fight terrorism.
“Those who run terror factories across the border are amazed today. For the first time, terrorists who cross the border to attack India reconsider their plans,” Modi, who is seeking to be re-elected in the 2019 polls said.
The prime minister, who is campaigning for Jugal Kishore, the BJP's candidate from Jammu-Poonch, also questioned the Congress' silence on National Conference's Baramulla candidate Akbar Lone's reported remarks, purportedly in favour of Pakistan.
"I am surprised that they are aligning with such people who are against the interests of the nation," Modi said.
The Jammu-Poonch parliamentary seat goes to the polls on 11 April.
‘Remain Vigilant of NC & PDP,’ Tells Modi
He also asked people of the state to remain vigilant against the policies of the National Conference and the PDP, a former ally of the BJP, for their alleged pro-separatist agenda.
“When we imposed ban of groups involved in secession of the state from India, these political parties have been opposing it,” the prime minister said.
