Most Exit Polls Project Majority For BJP-Led NDA

The CVoter-Republic exit poll has forecast 287 and 128 seats for the NDA and UPA respectively.

Most exit polls forecast a majority for the ruling BJP-led NDA in Lok Sabha polls with varying numbers as the seven-phase polling in the general elections ended on Sunday, 19 May.

Times Now-VMR Exit Poll

Two exit polls telecast by Times Now gave the NDA 296 and 306 seats, while they projected 126 and 132 for the Congress-led UPA. The majority mark is 272.

CVoter-Republic Exit Poll

The CVoter-Republic exit poll has forecast 287 and 128 seats for the NDA and UPA respectively.

ABP News-Nielsen Exit Poll

The ABP News-Nielsen exit poll has predicted that the BJP-led NDA will cross the halfway mark and get 277 seats of the 542 seats while the UPA is expected to win 130 seats.

CNN News18-IPSOS Survey

The CNN News18-IPSOS survey predicted that the NDA alliance will get 336 seats, with the BJP alone expected to win 276 seats.

India Today-Axis My India Exit Poll

The India Today-Axis My India exit poll has predicted an overwhelming majority of 339-365 seats for the NDA in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, while predicting just 77-108 seats for the UPA and 69-95 seats for Others.

Elections to 542 seats of the Lok Sabha ended on Sunday, with incidents of violence and clashes reported in West Bengal and Punjab.

The seventh and last phase of polls saw a voter turnout of 64 percent being recorded in 59 seats. In the 2014 general elections, the highest ever voter turnout of 66.40 percent was recorded.

Counting of votes will happen on 23 May.
