In what appears to be a move to bury the hatchet with the Congress, YSRCP President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that he has ‘forgiven’ the Congress and claimed that he had no ‘vengeance’ against the party.

In an interview with Marya Shakil of News 18, asked if he was willing to engage with the second generation of Congress leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, Jagan said, “As of now I will be very candid to say that I don't have any vengeance or any grievance against anybody. I believe in god and I do read the Bible every day and I have a lot of faith in god. And I strongly believe that vengeance is not mine but for god to decide. I have forgiven them in my heart. As far as I am concerned, my state is my priority. As far as I’m concerned, special category status is priority. (sic)”
