Ganga Jaisa Pavitra PM: Ravi Shankar Prasad’s Comment Backfires

In the ongoing demonetisation drama, when a politician has a new insult to hurl at Prime Minister Modi everyday, Ravi Shankar Prasad came to his defence in the most unfortunate way.

Discussing Rahul Gandhi’s statements against the PM, he said the Congress VP is maligning the “Ganga jaisa pavitra pradhan mantri.”

It did not go down too well with netizens, who know the sorry state of the river - one which is famously dirty, despite concerted (or not) efforts to clean it.
