Dear Modiji,

Anil, a cab driver in Goa, happily announces that he has driven around Katrina Kaif, Virender Sehwag, Suresh Raina and other big celebrities in Goa. He claims to have given two decades of his life to this field, and wishes you 5 more years in power. He would like to congratulate you on your ‘masterstroke’ plan to root out blank money, and is willing to tolerate the inconveniences. Anil believes this move will weed out black money tourism in the state.

Please watch this video, and as they say, do the needful.

Watt Lagi Padi Hai’

Apart from a low footfall of customers, for Lakshmi, a shopkeeper, the qissa is also about getting chutta (change) for the new Rs 2,000 notes when a handful of tourists (blame it on the cash crunch) purchase her merchandise.

“This is really bad for business people like us. The tourists also have little money, so would they spend it on these items or rather eat it? Business ki to watt lagi padi hai...”
