Priyanka Chopra to Receive Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award

The actor is winning in a new category introduced by the jury - the ‘International Acclaimed Actress Award’.

Her Hollywood debut film Baywatch might have been trashed by critics, but it cannot stop PeeCee from flying high. The actor is now set to receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award (not to be confused with THE Dadasaheb Phalke Award given by the central government). She would be winning in a new category introduced by the jury - the 'International Acclaimed Actress Award'.

According to a report by Times of India, Priyanka Chopra would be the first recipient in this category.

The event will be held on June 1, though it’s not confirmed if Priyanka would be attending. What’s more, her mother Madhu Chopra too will be honoured in the Best Film category for her maiden production, Ventilator.
