Everyone will agree that life’s unpredictable and many a time we are put to the test. Brijesh Yadav, an aspiring national-level gymnast, is going through one such test.
While preparing to bag a gold for the national school championship in Agra, the 17-year-old broke his upper spine. This happened after he missed a step while completing a move called the “double front”, and landed on his neck.
It’s been over a month and Brijesh is still recuperating at Gurgaon’s Paras Hospital. According to the doctors, the teenager’s condition is stable but he is currently paralysed from the neck below and can respond only by blinking his eyes.
For Brijesh, this week was special and different. The gymnast received a personal message from his favourite star, Akshay Kumar.
What’s overwhelming is Brijesh’s reaction while watching the Khiladi’s video. While watching the video, Brijesh’s eye spoke a million words and one could make out how happy the teenager was watching Akshay’s message.
