The makers of Bareilly ki Barfi just dropped the trailer of their latest film starring Kriti Sanon, Rajkummar Rao and Ayushmann Khurana.
Bareilly ki Barfi is a love triangle with Bitti (played by Kriti) at the centre of it. Check out the trailer here-
Bitti plays the role of a small town girl who likes to live life on her own terms and isn’t willing to settle down just yet. Bitti is looking for her the author of Bareilly ki Barfi because she thinks he's the only one who understands her and would make for her perfect groom. Kriti’s acting will strangely remind you of Alia Bhatt from Udta Punjab and Anushka Sharma in, well, all her films.
Ayushmann essays the role of the love struck Chirag Dubey who is madly in love with Bitti. Chirag owns a printing press and therefore knows the author of Bareilly ki Barfi, Pritam Vidrohi. Chirag tries his best to make Bitti fall for him as he asks Pritam to break her heart so that he would mend it.
Rajkummar Rao aka Pritam Vidrohi dons dual avatars; one where he’s seen selling sarees and another of a mawali created by Chirag.
While the story doesn’t appear to be anything we haven’t seen before, Rajkumar’s performance in the trailer truly stands out. Added to that, Bareilly Ki Barfi comes from the writers of Dangal.
Bareilly Ki Barfi releases on 18 August.
