Actors Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor were accompanied by their family members to celebrate their moment of glory at the 64th National Film Awards ceremony here on Wednesday.
Akshay has been named the Best Actor for his performance in Rustom - a choice criticised by a cross-section of people. But he was happy and proud of being a part of the ceremony with his "most important people" - his wife Twinkle and son Aarav.

A proud father, Anil Kapoor congratulated his daughter, Sonam on receiving her first National Award as well. Sonam won National Film Award Special Mention for her performance in Neerja.
Dangal star, Zaira Wasim also received an award for Best Supporting Actor.
Surabhi CM was named Best Actress for Malayalam movie Minnaminungu - The Firefly.
Akshay was accompanied by his wife, Twinkle and son, Aarav.
The actor also shared a picture perfect portrait of the trio before the event.
And Twinkle also congratulated her husband, in her own way.
