Sonu Nigam shaved his head at his home in Andheri, Mumbai at 3 pm on Wednesday. The popular Bollywood playback singer called celebrity hairstylist Hakim Aalim to do the honours.
Nigam tweeted his plans to shave his head after Syed Sha Atef Ali Al Quaderi, vice president, West Bengal Minority United Council was quoted in a report saying, “If anyone can shave his (Sonu Nigam’s) hair, put a garland of old torn shoes around his neck and tour him around the country I personally announce an award of Rs 10 lakh for that person.”
And the singer seems to have taken up the challenge himself for the Rs 10 lakh.
According to a report by DNA, at a press conference, Syed Sha Atef Ali Al Quaderi, also said.
I would have reacted the same way if one had talked ill about the sound of bells coming from a temple as well. People like Nigam should be driven out of the country.
