Google has pulled off something every manufacturer should make a thing. Days after a piece of plastic (or metal) was leaked as a Pixel 4 render, the company itself teased the next flagship phone, putting an end to all the speculation and reports doing the rounds on the next generation of Pixel devices.

Now, although Google has only teased the back panel, it has given something to tech junkies to talk about. The back panel sports a square popping out of the back, something we have seen on the leaks of the next generation of the iPhone as well.

What catches the eye the most, is the camera setup – first Pixel phone to have a dual camera setup. Now, we still don’t know what Google will use the second sensor for, it could be a hardware upgrade (ultra wide lens, telephoto lens, depth sensor, etc) or it could also be used for software purposes, like AR integration and variable portrait.

The leaked Pixel 4 render that surfaced a few days back, prompting Google to tease the device on its own.
This is the first time a Google Pixel device will have a dual camera setup.

There is a third hole in the square pop-up, maybe a third lens or could be the AR blaster as well. The Verge, quoting tech YouTuber Unbox Therapy, reports that the third hole could also be for what is called a ‘Spectral Sensor,’ or as Google calls it, a Flicker Sensor, used to deal with the noise in photos. The Flicker Sensor is already there on the Pixel 3 devices (not Pixel 3a).

No fingerprint sensor on the back – Is Google finally bringing face unlock? or the in-trend, in-display fingerprint sensor?

Another thing that is to be noticed is that there is no rear fingerprint sensor on the back panel – is Google finally bringing face unlock? In-display fingerprint? or a side placed fingerprint censor? It remains to be seen.
