A cricket fan or not, matches between India and Pakistan hold a special place in the heart of every Indian and Pakistani because the encounter is about more than the match, it is about emotion.
We talked to a few Pakistani cricket fans about their feelings about the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019 clash between India and Pakistan on Sunday, 16 June, and they had plenty to say, from having that day declared a official holiday to which players they would like to see shine.
Who Will Be the Make-or- Break Player in the Match?
“Virat Kohli from the Indian side and Babar Azam from the Pakistani side.”

“Shadab Khan. If our top order is not performing well and he comes at number 5 or number 6 then he can contribute decently and put a nice total on the board. And the same goes for his bowling. We need him to take wickets to stop the opponents from scoring.”

Any Superstitions Regarding the Match?
“If you had asked this few days ago, I would have said ‘It’s Ramzan and prayers will be answered and Pakistan will win.” But now Ramzan is over and people of both the countries must be praying for their teams. So, I feel only that team will win which will be able to handle pressure well that day.”
“It goes up in the air and it’s a six! Afridi, you beauty. The Asia Cup where Afridi hit two consecutive sixes and we won the game. No match has been as exciting as that was. It was a thrilling match.”

“The two nations have too many things in common. We understand each other, we speak the same language(s). The enthusiasm at the time of a match... I think it’s worth it.
