India face Pakistan in their ICC World Cup 2019 group stage clash in Old Trafford.
100-Run Stand for Babar and Fakhar
Babar Azam smashes Chahal for a massive six on the second ball of the 23rd over. Four more singles from that over, and the Babar-Fakhar duo have brought up their 100-run stand off 109 deliveries.
Breakthrough! Kuldeep Removes Babar
Kuldeep Yadav provides a big breakthrough to India! Babar Azam has been bowled for 48 (off 57 balls.) And with that, the 104-run stand between Babar and Fakhar becomes to an end. Virat Kohli has got to be breathing a sigh of relief. In fact, all Indian fans are.

Vijay Shankar bowls Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz out for 12! First delivery of the 34th over, and what a stunning delivery that was.
Several questions had been raised after his selection into the XI in place of an injured Dhawan at the start of the game. Hopefully those critics have been silenced now.

Rain Stops Play, India 4 Wickets Away from Win
The rain is back. Players are walking off the field.
Pakistan are currently at 166/6 in 35 overs.
India made 336/5 in their 50 overs, and that means the D/L par score after 35 overs is 252. Pakistan are hence 86 runs behind their par score.
In the case that play cannot be resumed, India will win with a comfortable margin.
Covers are Coming Off
The groundsmen are taking the covers off. Pakistan need 171 runs in 15 overs while India are four wickets away from their third win at this ICC World Cup.

The official word is in. Play is set to resume at 11:40 pm which is about 10 minutes from now. The match has been reduced to a 40 over game. Pakistan need 136 runs off 30 balls.

We're back with Chahal bowling the 36th over. Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan are at the crease. 6 runs off that over means Pakistan need 130 off 24 balls with 4 wickets in hand.

The target obviously cannot be achieved now. What are the bowlers thinking? Definitely seem a bit more relaxed now. Both batsmen and bowlers.

Four overs off the 40th over, and India have registered a comfortable 89-run win against Pakistan (D/L) in their ICC World Cup match.
This is India's third win in four matches after their previous tie against New Zealand was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
Pakistan on the other hand, have registered their third loss in five games. They registered a win against England while their tie against Sri Lanka was washed out.
Man of the Match: Rohit Sharma
Indian opener Rohit Sharma wins the Man of the Match award for his 140 off 113 balls. On getting dismissed, Rohit says, "I was unhappy, particularly with the way I hit that shot. When you're set you want to get as many runs as possible. Trust me, wasn't thinking of a double hundred. Got out at the wrong time, the partnership was becoming solid and we wanted to kill the game".
Commenting on India's win, he said, "Happy with the way we played as a team. We know at times, it can get frustrating having lost out in the previous game. We had the intent of playing a solid game today.
'It's Getting Tougher': Pak Captain Sarfaraz
Losing captain Sarfaraz says, "We won a good toss but unfortunately we didn't bowl in the right areas. Credit goes to Rohit, he played really well. Our plans was to pitch it up but we didn't hit the right areas. We won a good toss but we just didn't capitalize and conceded too may runs".
"I think the ball was turning which is why we picked two spinners, who bowled well, but the Indian batsmen played them really well. We were going really well with the bat as well, but we lost two-three quick wickets in the middle which is when we lost the match."
Pakistan have lost three out of 5 games, and on that Sarfaraz says, "It is definitely getting tougher and tougher but we have four matches and hopefully we'll win all four of them".
Captain Kohli Sums Up the Win
Captain Kohli sums up the win for India: "To be honest, the pitch wouldn't have made much of a difference. The only factor that I thought was different was that the pitch started turning towards the end of our innings. The template has been really nice in the first three games – Rohit single-handedly winning us in the first game, a team effort in the second and today was Rohit's day again. It allowed me to play a certain kind of role and it allowed Hardik to come and explode in the end. It is going really nicely at the moment. Kuldeep was brilliant, those guys were only trying to play him out. A longer spell helped in that situation and he was getting into rhythm. That ball to dismiss Babar was brilliant. This is the best he has been bowling since coming to England."
On the India vs Pakistan rivalry, Kohli says, "I think they outplayed us in the Champions Trophy final, but apart from that we have played good cricket. We never approach these games from the fans' atmosphere, but as cricketers we need to be professional".
Kohli Gives Update on Bhuvi Injury
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was forced to leave the field during the 5th over of the second innings due to hamstring strain. And on that captain Kohli says, "Bhuvi's case looks like a niggle, a case of slipping on the footmarks. It doesn't look too serious at the moment and looks like he could recover in a couple of games from now, maximum of three games. But we have Shami with us and it shouldn't be much of a worry for us. Even Bhuvi doesn't think his injury is very serious".
