India cheered when opener Rohit Sharma hit a six off Hasan Ali's delivery in the 27th over against Pakistan on Sunday, 16 June. While Rohit was lauded for a smashing over point six, his batting skills were compared to none other than master blaster Sachin Tendulkar by ICC.

The International Cricket Council tweeted a comparison video of him hitting a shot off Pakistan's Hasan Ali in one half of the screen and Sachin taking a shot at Shoaib Akhtar's ball in a 2003 World Cup match against Pakistan.

"Sachin in 2003 or Rohit in 2019 – who did it better?" asked ICC in their tweet.

Sachin took the chance to answer this question. He said in his tweet, "We both are from INDIA and in this case, AAMCHI MUMBAI as well....So heads I win, tails you lose!(sic)"

Rohit Sharma played spectacularly, scoring a century and stole the show.

In 2003, Sachin scored a whopping 98 runs smashing former Pakistani bowlers Waqar Younis and Wasim Akram. Sachin was disappointed with his dismissal as he did not close the game.

He watched his dismissal as it was being replayed on TV. The mastermind Sachin Tendulkar rates his blistering innings as one of the best of his illustrious career. “This was my day,” he had said. “From the beginning I picked the ball up early.”
