From an edited video of a Shiv Sena member calling Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde 'a traitor' to the earthquake in Bangkok and an old video linked to Salman Khan's Sikander and communal violence in Malda, West Bengal, here are some viral pieces of misinformation that we debunked this week.

1. No, Sanjay Nirupam Did Not Call Eknath Shinde ‘Traitor’; Clip Is Edited!

A collection of clips featuring Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) leader Sanjay Nirupam has gone viral on social media, amidst the uproar related to comedian Kunal Kamra's quip about a politician.

In the first video, Nirupam criticised Kamra for a joke calling a politician gaddar (traitor).

The second clip features the leader allegedly calling Shinde, 'a traitor.'
