Is this claim true?: The viral image has been generated using the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and does not show a real visual.

  • Additionally, there is no available evidence to support the claim that Dhoni has joined the BJP.

Discrepancies in the viral image: On closely analysing the viral image, we found that PM Modi's glasses appeared to be merging with his face. This is a common anomaly spotted in AI-generated images.

  • A lotus symbol could be seen on PM Modi's shirt, which also indicated that the image could be generated using AI tools.

What did detection tools show?: Team WebQoof passed the image through two AI detection tools namely — 'Sight Engine' and 'Hive Moderation'.
