What's the truth?: This is a staged promotional video and is being shared with a false claim.

How did we find out the truth?: We performed a reverse image search on some of the keyframes of the viral video and this led us to an Instagram post shared by an account 'Himanshu Shadi Card'.

  • This was shared on 20 March and it shows a man saying, “He is inside, he is inside. It’s been over 15 minutes.”

  • The man continues, “Then he must still be inside. It’s been over 15 minutes and the boy hasn’t come out yet.” And a few seconds later, a person emerges from the slide, holding a wedding invitation card. The invitation says ‘Amit weds Mamata’.

  • The man then takes the card and hands the camera to someone else as he speaks, “This wedding card, we ordered it through a water ride.”

  • The text on the video reads, ‘Himanshu shadi card, Chawri Bazaar, Delhi’.

  • This Instagram page has shared several similar attention-grabbing videos, including one where a man asks a girl about what she is hiding, and another where two supposed former lovers meet to celebrate a last Holi together.

  • Such videos end with one of the person handling a wedding invitation card and promoting their store.
