A video of smoke billowing out from a building caught on fire is being shared on social media with a claim that it shows recent visuals from the Udhampur airbase in Jammu and Kashmir.
What are the facts?: While the incident is recent, it is actually from Rajasthan's Hanumangarh, where a huge fire broke out at a chemical factory. This makes the claim false.
Hints in the viral video: On carefully analysing the video, we noticed that the fire truck carried text saying "Rajasthan". The truck's number plate carried the initials 'RJ' as well.
Both these findings pointed towards the possibility of the incident being from Rajasthan.
The viral video carried several hints.

NDTV Rajasthan shared a video report about the incident on their official YouTube channel on 8 May.
Its title when translated to English said, "Chemical Factory Fire: One person died in a fire at a chemical factory | Hanumangarh Incident | Latest News."
PIB debunks the claim: The fact-checking wing of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) took to its X handle to clarify that the video was from Hanumangarh, Rajasthan.
The post added that the Udhampur airbase remains operational.
Conclusion: It is evident that the video has no relation to the Udhampur airbase and is being shared with a false claim.
