An image is being shared on the internet to claim that it shows Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy paying his tribute to the six promises made by the Congress party before the state assembly elections.
What did users say?: An X (formerly Twitter) premium user shared the image with a caption that said, "RIP Six Guarantees. Om shaanti."
What are the facts?: The viral image has been altered. The original one, which dates back to February of this year, showed Reddy praying tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
How did we find that out?: We went through the official social media handles of Telangana CMO and found a similar visual posted on the Facebook account.
It was shared on 19 February with a caption that loosely translated to, "On the occasion of Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's birth anniversary, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy garu laid flowers to the picture of that great man at Jubilee Hills residence..."
Comparing visuals: Team WebQoof compared the viral image to the visual shared on Reddy's Instagram handle and found that the former had been edited.
The viral image had been edited.

Other sources: The official X handle of Reddy, too, had shared similar visuals from the event on 19 February. The Chief Minister could be seen dressed in a similar attire.
Conclusion: It is evident that the viral image has been edited to mislead the viewers.
