An email with a suspicious link, a phone call from an unknown number, or messages from strangers offering lucrative deals - we have now encountered scammers in different guises. If not, we’ve heard stories of individuals falsely duped into sending large sums of money to these criminals. There is, no doubt, awareness of such fraudulent operations, but scammers evolve their tactics swiftly to target their next victim(s).

With The Quint’s ‘Scamguard’ initiative, we want to help you stay ahead of their deceptive games and be scam-smart.

In January 2025, The Quint was announced as a recipient of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) ENGAGE 2024 grant under the Global Fact-Checking Fund to build effective strategies for tackling misinformation.

With increasing concerns around sophisticated methods through which criminals have been targeting unsuspecting individuals, we aim to combat financial fraud by highlighting your stories.

No Scam Too Small

What may seem an insignificant attempt at scamming also needs to be considered and reported. It helps decode the scammers’ updated strategies and makes you and others less susceptible to falling into their trap.

If you have a story to share or know of someone who has encountered such scams, write to us at myreport@thequint.com or via WhatsApp at +91 99990 08335. You can also fill out the Google form.
