A set of two photos is going viral on social media to claim that it shows Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha (LoP) and Congress' Rahul Gandhi posing with travel vlogger Jyoti Malhotra, who was recently arrested on charges of spying for Pakistan.

What's the truth?: These images show Gandhi with different women whose faces have been morphed with Jyoti Malhotra's face.

• The first image shows him with Rae Bareli's MLA and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Aditi Singh.

• The second image is from Bharat Jodo Yatra in Kerala.

How did we find out truth?: We performed a reverse image search on both the images using Google lens.

IMAGE 1:

• The results led us to several reports including Deccan Herald, India Today, The New Indian Express, DNA and Free Press Journal.

• These reports carried the original image which shows Gandhi with Rae Bareli's MLA and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Aditi Singh.

• Sharma won the Uttar Pradesh assembly election in 2017 on a Congress ticket and is the daughter of veteran Congress leader Akhilesh Singh, who had been a five-time MLA from the same seat.

• However, she switched to BJP in 2021.

• This shows him with a woman he met at Alappuzha, Kerala during Bharat Jodo Yatra.

• The caption read that it shows Gandhi with women supporters in Kerala.
