A video is going viral online to claim that it shows Samajwadi Party MP from Faizabad, Ayodhya Awadhesh Prasad offering namaz during the recent Eid celebrations in Uttar Pradesh.

How did we find out the truth?: We performed a relevant keyword search on Google and found no credible report backing this claim.
A further keyword search led us to a report shared by Hindi news channel Aaj Tak on 26 March.
It carried the viral video and stated that it shows SP leader Ravidas Mehrotra reading namaz.
It did not mention anything about Prasad.
The article further stated that several BJP leaders also raised questions Mehrotra's act of offering namaz in a mosque.
It further stated that Mehrotra defended his action and noted, "We respect all religions. We visit temples, gurudwaras, and churches. There is no political motive behind this."
