A video showing a series of explosions lighting up the night sky have gone viral on social media amid the Indian Army's 'Operation Sindoor', in which it attacked nine 'terrorist camps' in Pakistan in the wee hours of 7 May 2025.
The claim: The video is being shared to claim that it shows visuals of India attacking Pakistan.
Among the users who shared this clip are Indian journalist Aditya Raj Kaul, Pakistani internet personality Mughees Ali, and Pakistani influencer and journalist Ihtisham Ul Haq.
News organisation Business Today also shared a screenshot of this clip in their coverage of Operation Sindoor.

But...?: The claim is false as the video dates back to October 2023 and shows Israel bombing Gaza.
How did we find out the truth?: We ran a reverse image search on the viral video, which led us to report by news organisation Sputnik Armenia, which had shared the same visuals on 13 October 2023.
It said that the video showed Israel striking "750 Gaza Targets Overnight."
The report was published in October 2023.

A further keyword search using the date filter on Google and social media platforms showed us more news reports about the attack.
Turkish news organisation TRT Haber also published a report with the same visuals in October 2023.

Our search also led us to an X post by Kabul News TV, which was also shared as a video of Israel bombing Gaza on 23 October 2023.
Conclusion: An old video from Gaza has gone viral with the false claim that it shows the Indian Army attacking Pakistan during Operation Sindoor.
