Is this claim true?: No, this claim is not true.

  • This video has no connection with Manipur.

  • It shows the Burma National Revolutionary Army (BNRA) seizing weapons and cash in Myanmar.

How did we find out the truth?: We performed a reverse image search on Google lens using some of the keyframes of the viral video.

Our search led us to the same video shared on Facebook with the caption in Burmese that read, "Ammunition and cash seized during the Battle of Falam."

  • We then performed a relevant keyword search using Burmese and English words on Google. This led us to a video report on a YouTube news channel named Myanmar Now News.

  • This was shared on 10 April 2025 and the caption stated, "The revolutionary army captured Falam, the second capital of Chin state."

  • Apart from this, after watching the video carefully, we noticed an insignia on the soldier's uniform.

  • We found out that this logo represented Myanmar's BNRA i.e. Burma National Revolutionary Army, which is an armed resistance group of Myanmar.

Comparison between the two.
