What's the truth?: This video is from the ‘No Kings’ protests that happened in US and unrelated to attacks on Iran.

How did we find out the truth?: We performed a reverse image search on some of the keyframes of the viral video and this led us to an Instagram post shared on 15 June 2025.

  • It states that the video shows a protest that happened in 14 June 2025 in San Diego, against US President Donald Trump.

  • The caption further mentions hashtags related to the No Kings protests.

  • It nowhere mentions that the protests were linked to the attacks on Iran.

  • We then carried a relevant keyword search on Google which led us to reports about the 'No Kings' protests that happened across the US on 14 June.

  • According to the reports, these protests were organized by activist organizations to retaliate against the Army Day parade being conducted by Trump in Washington DC for his 79th birthday.

  • These protests aimed at challenging the "administration’s authoritarianism and corruption".

  • A video report also carried footage of the same area as seen in the viral video.

  • It showed the aerial footage of the march held at San Diego Waterfront Park.

The report shows the same incident.
