A clip from an interview is going viral on social media to claim that it shows Pakistani journalists making a remark about 'some Indians not supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.'
During the debate, one of them says that people including author Arundhati Roy, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and political parties like the Congress are "sympathisers" of Pakistan.
How did we find out the truth?: We performed a reverse image search on some of the keyframes of the viral video on Google and this led us to an old post on X (formerly Twitter).
This was shared on 15 August 2019 and it carried the same clip from the interview.
This indicated that this clip is not recent.
The video indicated this interview was broadcasted on Pakistani channel, Geo TV News.
We could not access the old version of this interview of their official YouTube channel as it has been banned in India.
The post mentioned that the video shows Mushahid Hussain speaking about PM Modi but his X account has been withheld in India.
Next, we found out that this interview is from a show called Jigra and Saleem Safi is the host, also seen in the interview.
Safi had not shared anything about this interview in 2019.
We then performed a relevant keyword search on Google which led us to a report shared by India Today on 12 August 2019.
This video is from 2019.

The report stated that this interview happened after the Central government's decision to abrogate Article 370 of the Constitution that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcated the state into two Union Territories in 2019.
It added that Hussain, a Pakistani politician, journalist and geo-strategist remarked that people like Roy, Banerjee and political parties like the Congress, Communist party and the Dalit parties are "sympathisers" of Pakistan.
"All of India is not with Modi," he adds.
Conclusion: An interview from 2019 showing Pakistani journalists debating about how some Indians are not supporting PM Modi is being shared as recent.
