A video of a missile being launched is being circulated on social media platforms with a claim that it shows recent visuals of Iran launching an attack against Israel.
What did the viral post say?: An X (formerly Twitter) user named '@iamSaharEmami' shared the clip with a caption that said, "Iran ➝ Jordan ➝ Israel. The route is open. The message is clear. This is just the beginning."
What are the facts?: The video could be traced back to at least November 2023 and is unrelated to the recent aggressions between Israel and Iran. It reportedly showed a rocket launch of SpaceX.
How did we find that out?: Using the help of Google Lens, we conducted a reverse image search and found the same visuals shared on an unverified X handle named 'Jaun Correa'.
It was shared on 20 November 2023. The post's caption when translated to English said "launch" and its hashtags suggested that the clip was recorded during SpaceX's Starship launch.
This clearly indicated that the video was old and had no connection with the recent conflict between Israel and Iran.
News reports on SpaceX's launch: A report published by Associated Press said that SpaceX had launched its mega rocket Starship, however, it lost the booster and the spacecraft in an explosion minutes after the test flight.
The rocketship had reportedly reached space following liftoff from South Texas before losing communication.
The report was published on 18 November 2023.

Conclusion: While we could not independently verify the location or context of the viral video, it is clear that the clip is unrelated to the recent aggressions between Israel and Iran.
