A video showing a massive blast is going viral on social media to claim that it shows Iran conducting a nuclear test.
How did we find out the truth?: We conducted a reverse image search on some of the keyframes from the viral video and found the same video uploaded on a YouTube channel, LaugHasore.
This was shared on 16 May 2025 and the title said, “Military exercise bomb explosion event – AI video.”
The channel's disclaimer also stated,“All videos on this channel are created using artificial intelligence for entertainment purposes only. Each video is a fictional simulation of a specific event. These AI-generated videos are often referred to as ‘AI’ or ‘fake’ by viewers.”

We also ran the viral video through an AI detection tool, Hive Moderation, and the results confirmed that the video was AI-generated.
