A video showing a blast is going viral on social media to claim that it shows the US attacking Iran's nuclear sites.

What's the truth?: This video dates back to December 2024 and shows Pakistan’s air strikes in Afghanistan.

How did we find out the truth?: We performed a reverse image search of Google lens using some of the keyframes of the viral video which led us to several old reports.

  • Reports shared by Hindustan Times, DNA and News18 published on 25 December 2024 carried screenshots from this viral video.

  • It also stated that Pakistan launched airstrikes inside Afghanistan’s Paktika province while targeting suspected hideouts of the Pakistani Taliban, also known as the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

The report was published in 2024.

Russian media outlet RT shared this video on 25 December 2025 and mentioned that it shows Pakistani airstrike at the Afghanistan border.
