BTS of Film Shoot Falsely Viral as Girl Raped and Murdered in Jharkhand

This clip is from a film shoot of the Assamese movie, Lujeg, starring artist Aimoni Kaman.

A video showing a woman lying in the bushes with a crowd, along with some police personnel surrounding her, is circulating on social media.

Those sharing the video claimed that the woman, allegedly a resident of Jharkhand, was sexually assaulted by six men and subsequently murdered, with her body disposed of in the bushes.

Is the claim true?: No, the claim is false.

• The video is a behind-the-scenes clip of a film shoot of a Assamese movie named 'Lujeg.'

What we found: At first, we divided the video into multiple screenshots and ran a Google reverse image search on some of them.

• We were led to an Instagram post featuring the same video by user __Prodip__Panging__, an artist as per their profile.

• The video's caption noted, "Upcoming mising full movie - Lujeg BTS." (sic.)

• We also found another post on Instagram featuring a similar video. It was posted by user chand_raj_music and noted, "Aimoni Kaman #LUJÉG" (sic.)

• We ran a keyword search and found that Kaman was artist from Assam.

• With that, we also came across several videos showing the film shoot for Lujeg on YouTube.

• We also came across another post on Instagram featuring the actress. She could be seen putting on an oxygen mask and had red colour splattered across her.

• This post also noted that it was the film shoot for Lujeg movie.

• We did not find any recent reports of a girl being assaulted by six men in Jharkhand.

• However, an Indian Express report from 14 May noted that six men were arrested for raping a minor girl in Jharkhand's Gumla.

• They sexually assaulted the girl and when she was unconscious, they threw her into a bush in the forest.

Conclusion: A video of a film shoot has gone viral on social media to falsely claim that it shows a girl raped and murdered in Jharkhand.
