A video of a massive blaze with billowing smoke is being widely shared on social media, where users have claimed that it shows visuals of “Mossad HQ ablaze after Iranian missile strikes.”

  • The claim about the headquarters of Israel’s intelligence agency being struck by missiles comes amid the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel.

  •  Screenshots of this viral video were also included in a Moneycontrol report about Iran hitting Israel’s intelligence agency.

 Is it true?: No, the claim is false.

  • The video shows a motorcycle parking lot which caught on fire in Chongqing, China.

 How do we know?: We ran a reverse image search on some parts of the video using Google Lens.

  • The search led us to a YouTube short, shared by media organisation Shanghai Eye, which carried similar visuals.

  • It had shared this clip as one of a “large fire” breaking out at a parking lot in China’s Chongqing area on 11 June 2025.

  • Taking a cue from this, we looked for more information about the incident.

  • We saw that Reuters had also shared this video with the same information, adding that no casualties had been reported.

Media repository Newsflare also carried a clip of the blaze, noting that the fire started at 1:12 pm and was completely doused by 1:33 pm on 11 June.

Conclusion: A video showing a parking lot on fire in China’s Chongqing has gone viral with the false claim that it shows Israel’s Mossad headquarters after an Iranian missile strike.
