A video showing a blast is going viral where users are claiming that it shows Pakistan's defense 'intercepting' Indian missiles.

The same video is also being shared with another claim where users are claiming that this clip shows Indian Forces 'destroying' the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) base.

What's the truth?: This video dates back to 2023 and is unrelated to Operation Sindoor.

  • It shows a blast that was caused by collision of tankers in front of Pakistan Air Force Base Nur Khan located in Chaklala, Rawalpindi, Punjab province of Pakistan.

How did we find out the truth?: We performed a reverse image search on some of the keyframes of the viral video which led us to an old Facebook post from 7 December 2023.

  • The caption stated that it shows a blast that was caused by collision of tankers in front of Pakistan Air Force Base Nur Khan located in Chaklala, Rawalpindi, Punjab province of Pakistan.

  • We did not find any credible news reports which carried this visual and supported the claim.
