Drones, Wedding Night? BJP’s Absurd Comebacks on Surgical Strikes

BJP leaders Alok Sinjar and Rameshwar Sharma hit back at politicians who questioned the veracity of the strikes.

Following the comments of Arvind Kejriwal and Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam questioning the veracity of the surgical strikes conducted by the Indian Army on 29 September, BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma hit back at the two politicians.

Nirupam had questioned the BJP by saying that such “false” claims only benefit the BJP and not the nation. He was later rebuked by Congress spokesperson RS Surjewala, who had added that the party took notice of his allegations against the government.

Rameshwar Sharma said that the desire of Kejriwal and Nirupam to ask for video evidence of the strike is similar to asking for evidence of the consummation of their parents’ marriage to verify their parentage.

Another BJP leader, Alok Sanjar, added:

Few leaders have a lot of questions. Somebody asked me if these leaders question their mothers about their fathers’ identity as well?

Sudhanshu Mittal, another BJP member, tweeted about how a GoPro should be attached to Kejriwal’s forehead during the next surgical strikes.

Earlier this week, Kejriwal had asked the government in a statement to release the evidence of the strikes to prove Pakistan wrong, who had denied the occurrence of these strikes.

Kejriwal had said that even though he may have hundreds of differences with Modi, he salutes the PM for the action he took against Pakistan to show them that India will not let its soldiers’ martyrdom go in vain.
