Meanwhile, O Panneerselvam watches the ceremony inside his home on Greenways Road. According to The Hindu’s Rohit TK, his home is deserted, barring a few supporters and media persons.
Edappadi Palanisamy will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu shortly. Sasikala’s family occupies the front row seats at the ceremony.
It is likely to be a short ceremony as Sasikala, who the cadre regards as their leader, will not be present.
No member of Sasikala’s family has a position in the Cabinet, though her nephew and the new party General Secretary, TTV Dinakaran, is present at the ceremony.

VK Sasikala, surrounded by family and supporters, arrived at Parappana Agrahara jail in Bengaluru to surrender on Wednesday.
According to reports, Sasikala will not be given any special treatment in prison.
She will be making candles to earn Rs 50 daily and won’t challenge the Supreme Court order, the reports added.
