The Supreme Court on Friday, 20 April, in its order directed the Central government to seize seven of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's properties in Mumbai.

The apex court dismissed the plea of the narco terrorist’s family against attachment of their properties by the government, saying they belong to Dawood, PTI reported.

The plea in the Supreme Court was filed by the underworld don's mother, Amina Bi, and sister, Hasina Ibrahim Parker.

In November 2017, three south Mumbai properties belonging to the Dawood were auctioned for Rs 11.5 crore by the Ministry of Finance. Hotel Raunaq Afroz – also known as Delhi Zaika, Shabnam Guest House, and six rooms in the Damarwala building, on Pakmodia Street were put up for auction.

Before this, his assets worth $6.7 billion in the UK were seized by British authorities.
