Indian Army rejected Pakistan Army’s claims of destroying Indian Army posts in Nowshera along the LoC.

Major General Asif Ghafoor, who is the official spokesperson of Pakistan Armed Forces had earlier on Tuesday tweeted a video footage showing damage done to purported Indian army posts.

He said the act was Pakistan’s response to India for “targeting innocent civilians on 13 May”.

Quoting sources from the Indian Army, ANI reported that the impact of an IED blast is usually felt from below unlike the video footage shared by Pakistan that shows the impact of explosion from artillery fire. The sources also claimed that video has evidence of being edited.

Earlier on Wednesday, Indian Air Force categorically rejected Pakistani media reports claiming that Mirage jet planes were flown over the Siachen Glacier, violating India’s air space.

Samaa TV reported that Jet fighters of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) made flights near Siachen Glacier on Wednesday morning. However, no further information on the “violation” was reported.

The video footage from Pakistan came in the wake of Indian Army claiming that it had recently carried out "punitive fire assaults" on Pakistan's posts in the Nowshera sector along the LoC in a bid to prevent "infiltrators" from entering India.

Pakistan military's media wing, however, denied Indian Army’s statements, saying: "On the contrary, Indian Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation, including heavy mortar and artillery fire on civil population in Bhimber Sector on 13 May, which resulted in civilian casualties and damages to civil infrastructure."
