FIR Filed Against BJP Leader Who Slapped Girl For Having An Affair

The Hindu Yuva Vahini also took the Hindu-Muslim couple to a police station for “doing wrong things in public.”

BJP leader Sangeeta Varshney is seen repeatedly slapping a girl belonging to the Hindu community in a video, as she questions her relationship with a Muslim man.

In a video that has gone viral, a BJP Women's Wing leader of Aligarh – Sangeeta Varshney – is seen repeatedly slapping a Hindu girl, questioning her relationship with a Muslim man.

According to Times Now, an FIR has been registered against Varshney in connection with the incident.

The alleged Hindu-Muslim couple also attracted the ire of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's Hindu Yuva Vahini, whose members took them to a police station after they saw "them doing wrong things in public", reported Times of India.

The girl, on her part, reportedly accepted that she was in a relationship with the man in question, adding that she was an adult.

Regarding the incident, Varshney was quoted by TOI as saying:

They are not to be trusted. Everyone knows the consequences of such relations.

The incident came to light after Sakshi Maharaj, the BJP MP from Unnao, stoked a controversy yet again when he asserted that couples displaying affection in public should be behind bars.

Be it a motorcycle, car, or park, couples can be seen behaving in a vulgar fashion. They hug each other as if the girl will eat the boy or the boy will eat the girl. It will be appropriate to take action and put such couples behind bars before anything wrong occurs.

Known for not mincing his words, the BJP leader said everyone ignores them but when rape occurs, people demand action by the police.
