Bollywood star Aamir Khan has made yet another statement on “intolerance” in India. But this time, he said India is “very tolerant” and that there are people who spread hatred. Aamir also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to rein them in.

The actor also said he believes that he continues to be the country’s brand ambassador even though he is no longer Incredible India’s brand ambassador. Aamir said, for him, India is his mother and not a brand.

Those who speak of breaking up this vast country, such people are present in all religions, only Modi Ji can stop them. After all, Modi Ji is our prime minister, we have to tell him.

Aamir Khan had made headlines with his remarks that his wife was thinking of leaving India over growing “intolerance”. He also replied to remarks by Amitabh Kant, the former secretary of Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), that he had damaged India’s brand identity with his statements.

Aamir clarified that there was a feeling of insecurity due to growing “intolerance”.
