The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Term 2 Board examinations began on Tuesday, 26 April.

The board advised that students should not go to social media for information or to put out their views as it is not conducive to examinations.

What happens if a person misses Term 2 exams?

The student's Term 1 marks will be taken as final. However, if a student has missed Term 1 but attends Term 2 exams, the marks for latter will be considered.

What happens if a student is suffering from COVID?

The examination centre should allow the student to take their exams in a separate room.

What if a student suffers from COVID after taking exams of two or three subjects?

A decision should be taken in the interest of the student. However, they must be provided a separate room to take remaining exams.

What happens if parents are suffering from COVID?

Students are advised to take general precautions – maintaining physical distance and wearing masks. They will be allowed to take exams.

A student has missed their practical. What happens then?

School should conduct practical exams at a suitable date and send marks to regional office.

What happens if a student misses both Term 1 and Term 2?

There is no decision on this yet. As of now, they may appear for examinations next year.

Can they appear for compartment exams if they miss Term 1 and 2?

Not as of now. The board will decide on what to do in this case. Watch this space for more.
