In a much anticipated move, senior vice president Sanjay Rajagopalan has resigned from his post a month after Vishal Sikka stepped down as the CEO of Infosys. Rajagopalan updated his LinkedIn profile describing himself as a ‘free man.’ He also updated the term of his employment at Infosys from August 2014 to September 2017.

Rajagopalan was one of the few SAP colleagues Sikka brought to Infosys. His resignation was expected after Sikka stepped down a month ago.

Rajagopalan was the head of Design and Research and actively organised large-scale design thinking training sessions for all Infosys employees at Mysuru and other development centers. He was based in the company’s Palo Alto office.
