Three Indian-origin women, Jayshree Ullal, Neerja Sethi and Neha Narkheda have secured a place on Forbes’ list of America’s 60 richest self- made women, ranking on the 18th, 21st and 60th spot, respectively.

And with that, Jayshree Ullal, President and CEO of computer networking firm Arista Networks; Neerja Sethi, co-founder of IT consulting and outsourcing firm Syntel; and Neha Narkhede, CTO and co-founder of streaming data technology company Confluent have all become desi representatives on the Forbes list of 'America's Richest Self-Made Women 2019'.

Born in London and brought up in India, Jayshree Ullal, 57, has been working as the President and CEO of Arista Networks, a computer networking firm for the past 11 years, according to Forbes.

Under her stewardship, the publicly-traded company recorded revenues of $1.6 billion in 2017. Ullal owns about 5% of Arista's stock.

Neerja Sethi

Neerja Sethi, ranked 23rd, co-founded IT consulting Firm Syntel with her husband Bharat Desai in 1980 from their apartment in Michigan with an investment of just USD 2,000. Today, her net worth is one billion dollars.

Neha Narkhede

Neha Narkhede 

Narkhede, who is ranked 60th on the list has a net worth of USD 360 million, according to Forbes. She is the co-founder and CTO at Confluent, the company behind the popular Apache Kafka streaming platform.

The list also includes well known self-made women, mogul Oprah Winfrey ranked 10, reality TV star Kylie Jenner (23), pop stars Rihanna (37) and Madonna (39), singer Beyonce (51), author Danielle Steel (56), TV show host Ellen DeGeneres (63) and tennis star Serena Williams on the 80th spot.

Taking the number one spot is Diane Hendricks, a Wisconsin billionaire who owns ABC Supply, one of the largest wholesale distributors of roofing, siding and windows in America.
