Before I begin, let me establish that pizza is a thing of beauty, it is a feeling and is perfect just the way it was intended to be consumed. Triangular slices that make a circle served in a square box. This dish is so good, it’s mathematically perfect too.

However, some hipsters out there are trying a bit too hard to spoil it’s good name. Enter international chain restaurant Villa Italian Kitchen. Now it took me and the OG pizza loving brigade, a heavy minute to get on board with the whole pineapple fiasco (still not convinced, but trying to let it go). But the chefs at Villa Kitchen have pushed it a little too much by serving people, just...crust.

I have questions. Firstly, why?

Why would you abandon a well seasoned, flavourful, perfectly good pizza for 6 sticks of bread essentially. Bland bread. We get that there is a section of humans who dig crust. And I have no complaints with them. So they like to eat the crust. Okay. But that’s after eating the ACTUAL pizza. Why would I walk into a pizza joint and just order crust?!

I could just toast bread, let it cool and eat that. THAT’S CRUST RIGHT THERE.

Also who secretly believes that people only say that “the crust is the best part” because they don’t want to waste? THOUGHT.

Though that didn't stop Villa Italian Kitchen to go ahead and claim it to be a 100 percent truth. “We know that the crust is everyone’s favourite part of the pizza, so skipping straight to selling pizza crusts only seemed like the perfect idea” they told Today.

Umm...sure it is.

Now don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good crust too. But do you see that this restaurant makes a whole pizza first and sells pretty much only the leftovers. How can you justify this abomination. Anyway, what do you feel? Let us know in the comments below.
