It’s Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s much awaited wedding reception in Bengaluru and we are unabashedly gawking at the couple’s gorgeous pictures.

And why not? After a complete media blackout on their grand wedding in Lake Como in Italy, this is the first time desi media got access to the celebrated couple, and how.

So a total breakdown of Deepika’s look – right from her gajra to her emerald ring – to banta hai.

As we looked hard at the photos, we couldn’t miss some of the obvious similarities Deepika had with Anushka Sharma’s look from her Delhi reception. Which is to be expected since both the ladies were styled by none other than Sabyasachi.

The Tight Bun

Both Anushka and Deepika sport a Rekha-inspired tight bun with gajra.

As you can see from the above photo, both Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma can be seen sporting a cleanly parted hair with a tight bun – simple, traditional and elegant. The look is similar down to the very gajra.

The Statement Neck-Piece

The statement neck-pieces that Deepika and Anushka sported on their respective receptions.

While Anushka Sharma had worn an eye-catching uncut diamond choker and jhumkas from the Sabyasachi Bridal Jewelry collection, Deepika Padukone looked stunning in a polki diamond choker with emeralds embedded in the ensemble.

The Traditional Silk Sari

The colour palette maybe completely different but both the ladies sported traditonal silk saris on their wedding reception

While Anushka Sharma looked divine in her red and gold banarasi designed by Sabyasachi himself, Deepika Padukone went monochrome in a zari gold Kanjivaram silk saree from The House of Angadi, designed by K Radharaman, gifted to her by her mother Ujjala Padukone.

The Prominent Sindoor

The Sindoor!

Both the ladies did away with accessorising themselves with a mang teeka and instead sported a prominent sindoor going all the way back.

So, between Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma, who wore the quintessential Sabyasachi-styled wedding reception look better?
