Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is no stranger to using Twitter to criticise the workings of the Modi government. On Women’s Day, he tweeted to PM Narendra Modi, urging him to take action against trolls who threaten women on social media.

Online trolling has been on a rise ever since major political parties took their battles and poll campaigns into the digital space, ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections 2014.

Sometimes, the incessant trolling can get as personal as rape and death threats. One of the most recent victims of vicious online trolling was DU student Gurmehar Kaur, who was threatened with rape for standing up against the ABVP.
