Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is back on Twitter. The verified Wikileaks Twitter account sparked a flurry of excitement after it announced Assange’s return with a tweet.

In his first tweet, Assange sought to dismiss rumours about his death.

The account has not been verified yet. The Twitter bio of the account reads as follows: “Refugee; Picking the lock to the chain that enslaves mankind – ignorance. No war without lies no peace without truth. Viva el Ecuador!’

The profile lists Assange’s location as the Ecuadorian embassy in London where he has been residing under political asylum.

While the @julianassange account has already garnered over 60,000 followers, it is only following one account: @WikiLeaks

Julian Assange follows only one account on Twitter. 

Meanwhile, actor Pamela Anderson also made news for her rumoured relationship with Assange after she reportedly told Grazia magazine that she likes to visit him often.

“He’s living in dire circumstances, so I like to bring a little help, and a smile, and some glamour. It’s so rare that he has someone to come and visit him and bring him things, and I want to be able to do that for him,” she was quoted as saying.
