A wedding is supposed to be a special event in one’s life but for this bride, it became a bit of a “wait... what’s happening right now?” moment!

In a now viral video, a groom was seen playing the infamous mobile game PUBG on his wedding day, while being seated on stage.

His perplexed bride looked on in a confused manner, as her husband had no hoots to give about what was happening around him. He even refused to receive gifts, occupied completely in the game.

Watch the viral video here:

The video was first posted on TikTok, which was banned in India in recent times but is now available for downloading once again. This video went viral on social media, making this groom quite the internet sensation.

What remained unclear was whether the video was legit or staged since videos on TikTok usually involve performance. Given the rampant obsession with PUBG, however, the video could as well be legit.

This obsession had led to the ban on the mobile game across India in the first place. In Gujarat’s Rajkot, 10 people were arrested for playing the game, a week after a notification was issued banning the popular multiplayer game. In Nepal, the Supreme Court recently lifted a ban on the game.

A similar ban was invoked on the TikTok app, owing to reports of pornographic content being accessible to minors on the platform. The Madras High Court on Wednesday, 24 April, lifted the ban on the social media platform in the country.
