At a time when terms such as censorship, anti-national and un-patriotic have gained a lot of currency, actor-comedian Vir Das has made a short but incisive video giving his take on the culture of silence and stifling of freedom of speech and expression pervading throughout the country.

Das, in his ‘Potcast’ video titled, "Dear Govt/Bhakts/Trolls - I have Questions", advocates for the freedom to ask all kinds of question in his signature humorous but impactful manner.

He has a special message for supporters of political leaders, pointing out that they should do away with their sense of entitlement, and discuss issues on an equal footing rather than resorting to strong-arming.

As Das puts it, standing in line at ATMs would become a whole “lot more entertaining” if there was a “real conversation”.

Now let's hope that the video does not end up generating hate messages from these "supporters"!
