It’s common, universal knowledge that the iPhone 7 comes without a headphone jack. The only way to listen to music on it is to buy the overpriced wireless EarPods that Apple is selling, or through a lightening-cable headphone. But then you cannot charge your phone and listen to music at the same time.

Youtuber TechRax made a “hack” video in which he drilled a hole into an iPhone 7 to reveal the secret headphone jack which lets you use your 3.5mm headset to listen to music.

As you can see, the headphones work perfectly. The video has gone viral with over 10 million views in a week since its release.

So this hack is worth trying out right?

Wrong!

TechRax is a Ukranian youtuber, who has made his fortunes by destroying iPhones for a living. His other videos include melting iPhones with wax-crayons, which led to a fire in his home. He has also thrown iPhones fitted in a bar of chocolate from 100 ft to see if they survive.

Quite a few people commented on the video saying that they tried the hack but their iPhones got ruined.

Others seem to be in on the joke who are commenting saying which kind of drill needs to be used, and suggesting ways to get additional slots for expanding the memory via usb-cards.

Never change internet, never change.
