Ram Nath Kovind Named Prez Candidate: Twitter Furiously Googles
From cluelessness to furious fact-finding, Twitter has had a field day since Ram NathKovind’s name was announced.
In a move that has left many scratching their heads, the NDA named Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind as its nominee for the post of President.
Kovind, a lawyer by profession who began his career in 1971, worked in the capacity of an advocate for the central government in Delhi High Court from 1977 to 1979. Throughout his 16-year-long legal career, he practised in both the Delhi HC and the Supreme Court.
Despite his consistent track-record, many were expecting the ruling party to nominate more popular names likes of Sushma Swaraj, Mohan Bhagwat, LK Advani, or Murali Manohar Joshi.
The general public’s confusion (unsurprisingly) knew no end on social media.

While political heavyweights of the BJP are congratulating Kovind on Twitter, a large section of the Indian Twitterati are desperately trying to find out who Kovind is, in order to sound informed and knowledgeable.
