India thrashed Pakistan 7-1 in the Hockey World League Semi-Final in London on Sunday. Harmanpreet Singh, Talwinder Singh and Akashdeep Singh scored two goals each to help India win their third successive game and qualify for the quarter-finals.
While the Indian cricket team lost to their Pakistani counterparts in the Champions Trophy final, the hockey team prevailed and continue their winning streak in the tournament.
Indian fans mourned the cricket team’s loss, but Anil Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Farhan Akhtar joined Twitterati in congratulating the hockey men on their win.
